Every once in a while I get convinced to leave my workshop and participate in an event. I don't often do it because the prepping is so much work in addition to my regular workload. This week, my rolling rack is being filled as I prep for some upcoming shows. A different color of linen being sewn each day.

This very cool and heavyweight rolling rack was recently found on the side of the road with a FREE sign. I nearly caused an accident whipping my car around to claim it! I then made a spectacle trying to figure out how to fit the rack in the car with my 3 kids. Fortunately, another mom from our school saw me and let me take the rack to her house until my husband could pick it up. I love free things, particularly when they are very useful for me.

Twist, Push, Pull...


This concept for an interactive multipurpose object was inspired by a clarinet, a musical instrument that uses cork as a fastener.
A clarinet is a precisely made object that is easily assembled and disassembled by a player.
Bamboo is not native to the Baltimore area but has been planted by home owners to create fast-growing barriers. We posted an offer to remove bamboo for free and got multiple replies. This could be a good source for local bamboo. Twist, push, pull... can be a toy, furniture, or other object.—Stephanie Sevich and Pati Pogodzinski
